Mission Possible - Annual Primary Activity July 12, 2014
When each child arrived they received a folder that had instructions for what they needed to do, passport to be stamped when they completed a task and money to spend as they wished. In order to complete the "mission" they had to accomplish all required tasks written in their folder and get a stamp on their passport. They weren't told how long they had to finish all their tasks. The required stations were the 4 principles of the gospel (Faith, repentance, baptism, Holy Ghost) where they were either taught an object lesson, did an activity, watched a video, etc. reviewing what each of those principles and ordinances mean. The other stations were to have an interview with the bishop so they could get a "temple recommend" and the other was to go to the "temple". There were distractions put throughout the building (Game room, carnival, movie theater, mall and salon) meant to try and lure the children away from doing what they were supposed to. The children were told that there would be distractions that would try and tempt them from doing what they are supposed to do but they also had a choice and that they wouldn't be forced to do the right or wrong thing. The children were instructed at the beginning that when they heard the bell ring once their time to complete everything was coming to an end soon. When they heard the bell ring twice they had to stop what they were doing and go back to the chapel. The bishop came in and briefly talked about Heavenly Father's plan. The children were served ice cream sundays and the amount of toppings depended upon how many required tasks they completed. If they finished all the tasks they were able to choose however many toppings they wanted.
